For this hotel we researched the origin of this "Pueblo Mágico" and were fascinated by the story of Malinalxochitl, the sister of the God of War, Huitzilopochtli who, after being abandoned she tried to follow her brother but ended up in the wrong place, arriving at what is now known today as Malinalco. 

We wanted to give the concept a contemporary touch, so we were also inspired by Pedro Reyes and Carla Fernández—two artists who bring pre-Hispanic culture into a modern context.

From here, we created the concept based on the legend of Malinalxochitl and the Eagle Warriors.
